Cat got dermatitis - any help or advice much appreciated!

Hi all,
Many thanks for your replies.
We actually put a Feliway diffuser in the property before with moved the cat in and there's still plenty left in it but I've ordered another to have in for when it runs out.
Food and treats are still the same so don't think it can be that!
Also, I work from home so I'm very lucky in that I can, and do, play lots of games and try to keep him entertainted.
There's a pic here from a website which shows a case very similar to mine: http://www.cat-health-guide.org/image-files/catmiliaryderma2.jpg
As you will see there are sore looking patches/scabs which is making both myself and the vet think that it's probably not just a behavorial thing.
As said in a previous post, in himself he's fine - running round, eating, sleeping, grooming, and oileting just as normal.
Cheers again all,
From a very frustrated S!0 -
Hi,
I just thought I'd post an update as it might benefit anyone else in my situation who stumbles across this thread.
The cat went back to the vets on 31st March as the dermatitis wasn't getting any better. On the previous visit on the 19th March he was given .2ml of an anti-inflammatory called Dexafort which unfortunately didn't do much good.
On the 31st March visit the vet decided to give him a double shot of Dexafort (.4ml), a dose of Stronghold and also an anti-biotic shot of something called 'Convenia' (.4ml).
The poor little thing was pretty spaced out for 24 hours after he had his Amy Winehouse style drugs cocktail and was extremely sleepy. This thankfully broke the pattern of scratching/biting his sore spot and I'm delighted to report that he's not gone for it since.
Within about 2 days the nasty scabs had healed over and his fur is well on the way to growing back.
We still don't know exactly what caused it but thankfully all sorted now
I hope this might be of benefit to someone.
Thanks again to al who replied and read

Could have been an allergy to something used in the home, you aren't to know what cleaning products the previous owner used - say Shave'n'Vac.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
