Not good. My dad has gone into hospital today for an operation so I was worrying about him. He was obviously worrying too because he rang me at 6.30 to tell me he was up and to ask me to read his electricity meter!

Anyway, he is fine and coming home later today. He is 88 so it is a relief that it is all over bar the recovery.
  • No I didn't, at the moment I have sinistus and also a cough,so kept waking during the night. Have got some anti-biotic from GP today, so hope to start sleeping a bit better when they kick in.

No, have not done so for a few months!

13 years ago I made the mistake of letting our dog sleep with us. Now he is old & not well. He has arthritus & can't jump onto the bed, so he stands & looks at me...which odly enough is usually wnough to wake me up, if I don't wake he nudges me with his cold nose...I then have to climb out, he puts his front paws on the bed & I lift his bum up to help him in...happends about 6 to 12 times a night.

Combined with a 5 year old who has been being sick & I am listening out for her makes for some interesting nights.

Having said that I am quite good on only a few hours sleep - but it does make me laugh when others say they did not sleep well.

I have just re-read that & it looks as if it is stopping from being able to spell!
  • No i didnt. Im pre menopausal and i get night sweats as well as weird dreams which scare me. I end up having an anxiety attack so i have to sit up and take deep breathes so that i can breathe properly. This is along with prickly skin and aching bones. It doesnt happen every night, but at least one or two a week and its making me irritable.

No. Menopausal hot flushes truly horrid. Sleep badly anyway. I cannot imagine sleeping for even 5 hrs continuously - must be utter bliss.

Am amazed, reading this thread, at how many peeps sleep badly.....
    Poor us.......:(:(:(

  • I'm asthmatic so I haven't had a decent night's sleep since about November. I wake up at least twice a night gasping for breath and sounding like a squeaky barn door. It's always worse in cold or damp weather, roll on summer! :D
All the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person... :D:p
