I've reserved a set for local pick up. It seems to have very good reviews on the Argos site so worth a look at. If we don't like it we can always hand it straight back.
I got a blue set today and was pleasantly surprised. It was nicer than it looked on the website, no runs in the glaze or warping. It is only the Denby Intro range but is fine for everyday use and the mugs are a decent size too!
If you're in the Denby area (near Derby) you can visit the factory shop and buy seconds. All my Denby ware comes from there, it's much cheaper and looks as good as the regular stuff. The flaws are barely noticeable, often just a tiny spot of the coloured glaze on the white. Just check that the plates sit flat.
We did exactly that one January - all of there 'seconds' were BOGOF on different weekends. That was about 4 years ago and still going strong. Took a while to sort through, but you cant even notice anything is wrong with them.
