For the information of others subject to the recall. We had our Yaris repaired last week on the accelerator pedal recall. Today we received via recorded delivery a £20 Marks and Spencer voucher and a letter apologising for the inconvenience caused.

That was very decent of Toyota, I wonder if any other makers cars that have had recalls have done similar?

At least you can stop and go shopping now, instead of always driving past.

Did you have to contact the dealer for the recall, or did they contact you? Have held off from contacting them as I didn't want to appear as some panicker fuelled by the media frenzy.

Their customer service isn't stunning, I'd contact them and get it booked in as soon as possible.

THE OP's comments would appear to suggest otherwise.

Well, fair enough, keep waiting like Inactive would, possibly forever, or contact Toyota, as they've had two months to contact you and haven't yet.

To be honest, if I had a Toyota, I wouldn't even worry about it, it is 99.9% hype from the USA anyway.
