Well, I like them. They may have their faults, but nothing too major for me - I have alternative email addresses to cope with any specific addresses that get blocked. They may be more expensive than others, but their helplines are free and believe me, I've made use of them and they've helped me even when the problem hasn't been with AOL.
If you're still fairly computer illiterate (like me) then I find it much the easiest to use.

I'd meant to post this earlier, but as this thread has come up...
I've been having a problem with signing up to 18866. I used to use it and my flatmate used 1899 and we wanted to swop. So we both unsubscribed and then I signed up to 1899 and he went to sign up with 18866. (with me so far?!)
Even after a number of attempts his subscription "failed" . So I tried signing up again (on 2 different cards!) and it wouldn't work for me either.
Wierd?!
Anyone got any advice - I emailed them, but no response.
Cheers!
:)noramc:)
ps - I got a letter from them today with 3 posters of their "great call rates" - are they taking the p*ss or what?!noramc

Just to let people know, I tried registering again with 18866 and got this email reply:
"Unfortunately your 18866 internet registration has failed.
Our apologies, but due to lack of capacity it is currently not possible to register.
Kind regards,
Call18866 Customer services"
We moneysavers are just too canny!
Shame though...noramc

i have had a problem with other companies...like my accountants !!... where aol blocks their emails .... after many weeks and much frustrations trying to sort it with aol...which i couldn't ... someone told me that if you put the companies email address into your aol address book then it lets them in... i tried and it worked.
I also did this in my AOL address book and am receiving invoices now.

You do get some hiccups with them, but there are an awful lot of MSE members using them, so they must be doing something right!!!!PF.0 -
