downloading & converting files (r files)

Can anyone shed any light on how to convert files after downloading

I've downloaded the odd film, 1 or 2 work straight away

however and here lies me problem

1 or 2 download into something called "R Files"

I can have any number of "R Files" from 20+ to 40+

how can I convert these files to view the films etc

no I don't mean rar files
I'm fine with rar and winzip files

its just these dam r files, that throw me :mad::mad::mad:

when I click on one of the files I get a box asking me do I want the web to find a solution, which it never does

Are you sure they're not rar files which consist of multiple parts?

have just followed that, still end up with a zip folder with a number of r files

suggestions please
