I have the HSBC Gold MasterCard. Only took it for the 0% BT rate and was the best term at the time (12 months) for a lender I didn't already have a card with think the APR is 16.9%, high but I never roll a balance so makes no difference to me. Decent limit (£5.5k) but I already had a bank acc with them since being a student, not sure if that comes into play with HSBC. Activation quick and simple. I do all my banking online and never had any issues so no idea what customer services is like.
I think the bulk of their agents are in India, common with most banks.
Depends what you are after as to whether anyone can recommend it to you0 -
Have one and internet banking and phone service are good. Have always spoken to someone in the UK when calling on the phone during the day.0

You're aware of the pre-requisite(s) for this product?...In order to apply for an HSBC Bank Credit Card you need to:
- Have an HSBC current account.
- Pay more than £500 monthly into your current account and have a salary of £8,500 or more. If you're a student account holder you don't need to pay a minimum amount or salary into your account.
