Cheaper ferry crossings

Simple really.
Join the Caravan Club.
Costs about £35.
My August ferry crossing this year (including a people carrier and caravan) would cost £280 on P&O from Dover to Calais if booked with P&O.
£180 if booked through Caravan Club.
Be a little wary though - Eurotunnel would actually have cost me almost exactly the same (a wapping £490) whether booked direct or through CC. The very helpful CC people, when I enquired about the eurotunnel price, offered info on other (ferry) crossings available at the times I wanted to cross.
In case anyone is wondering, I am told you do NOT have to take a caravan to receive savings on the crossing prices.
