Yesterday we ran Windows Live One Care on our PC as it had been randomly crashing. It found a number of errors and we think viruses.
Thinking Avast may not have been working 100% I have uninstalled it, in order to reinstall.
But on turning the PC back on there is no internet connection and I have discovered all the services disabled. So is System Restore so I can't go back.
I have no computer knowledge so anybody able to tell me what has happened and what on earth I can do to restore things?
Pretty Pleaseeee.

which services are disabled?
did the internet stop working after one care, or after avast was uninstalled?
How do you connect to the internet? Router? wired, or wireless?
If you have another pc, and usb flash drive, you could download the avast removal tool to make sure it uninstalled properly, and malwarebytes to do a malware scan (would be nicer to do this with a working internet connection so it will update).!!

Thanks for replying. Somehow PC was set to limited start up. After following some instructions I managed to put this back to normal start up and all is OK now. Phew!0
