i have been asked the following by my brother
'I want to buy Windows XP on Ebuyer, Not sure which one to get. I have code 114048 which has soemthing about x32 bit or code 97548 which doesnt (but is out of stock !)
Any idea what the difference is ?'
due to being at work, i cant get to the website.
can any one explain what the difference is between the 2 coded versions of XP above.
i understand about 32bit and 64 bit, but id didnt realise that there where different versions of xp for them.
he is after XP home

Hi robnye
I've been to the ebuyer website.
On the 97548 page it says:-
'New Version Release: SP2B
Please use QF114048 as direct replacement'
So it looks as though 97548 is 32 bit XP Home with SP2
and 114048 is 32 bit XP Home with SP2B.
I suppose that service pack SP2B is a later version of SP2.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
One is XP Home inc SP2 - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/97548
The other is XP Home inc SP2B - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/114048
They are both 32-bit.
SP2B is a direct replacement for SP2 with a few security enhancements (probably later Windows updates).0 -
