Hi,

Please could anyone tell me the exact date that the scrappage deal was finished? Also how/when were dealers informed?

TIA

    Check out the scrappage site.

On 4 February 2010 the government announced that an extra month has been added to the deadline for the government scrappage scheme to help manufacturers and dealers prepare for and operate the final stage of the scheme.
Subject to agreement by manufacturers (consumers should check with dealers that the relevant manufacturer has agreed) the scheme will now run until the end of March or until the money runs out, whichever is sooner. The budget remains the same and there are no changes to the eligibility criteria.

    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, had seen that, but the Q is, when did the money run out?

You actually asked when the scrappage deal finished. Give the scrappage office a ring to get exact details.
For further information please contact us:

Ive just googled and found a car forum a week ago saying:

Scrappage Scheme Has Ended - the Government Money has run out
Yesterday the government has stopped all dealers of all franchises adding any new scrappage orders as they now have more orders than money available (and they have a waiting list too). So unless you have your order in - Scrappage has ended.

It doesn't matter if you want a Ford because it will probably cost less now that they have conveniently lowered prices from 1st April. What a joke, they've certainly made the most of British tax payers money.
