teenage son's car insurance

Ooops is spot on - no claims and accident history are totally seperate things. If you crashed his car, he would lose his no claims, but it wouldn't effect yours. You would however have to disclose the accident to your insurer, which would normally lead to an increse in your premium, but not as much as if you had crashed your own car - and then made a claim on your insurance - thus having an accident AND making a claim.
Remember it is a no CLAIMS bonus, not a "no accident" bonus or "no fault" bonus. If you wake up in the morning and your car has been hit by someone who has done a runner, and you have to make a claim - no claims bonus is gone.Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0 -
wow insurance is so confusing!0
