A RANT by Trencherpilot!!

Morning All,
My OH put her new upgrade phone on Ebay last week, (apparently it's a sought after model) and although we have the filter for negative feedback scores in place, and are prepared to ship abroad as long as it's not Africa, a person with 0 feedback has won.
This in itself is not the problem as we all have to start somewhere. It's now 5 days since the auction ended, and after looking at her feedback, she has 0 but 50% and both feedbacks say non payment. I think the 1st guy leaving it got confused and left +ve instead of -ve.
I know I have to wait seven days. However in my limited Ebay experience, if they haven't paid after 5 days, they aren't going to. The main part of the rant is... why don't ebay take these pain in the asses seriously and NARU them if they bid and don't pay?
This is fortunately only the second one of these I've had.
What do people get out of bidding and not paying?

Also... have you restricted your bidding requirements enough? Make sure those with under 5 feedback and no credit card on file can't bid.My TV is broken!

Pray tell how you do this by restricting biding other than approved bidders? No? That's because you can't restrict under those limitationsfrivolous_fay wrote:Also... have you restricted your bidding requirements enough? Make sure those with under 5 feedback and no credit card on file can't bid.

The no credit card requirement refers to a card on file with ebay usually for a sellers account (not a credit card on paypal), so you may block a lot of bidders.
My dad got blocked from bidding on one auction from his account, until i added a card to ebay.0 -

Er, I think the point Mcwarre was correctly making is that you cannot block bidders with less than 5. Ebay simply won't permit it - if we blocked all less than 5 buyers, how would anyone new ever join. The only 'rating' you can block is -1 (or more). A point you have indeed proved with your own subsequent post. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -

Yes, I know this. I did not say you could block people just because they had less than 5 feedback.
Looks pretty clear to me:
