    What an interesting outcome.

That is now BA and Network Rail who have now challenged strike ballots and won injunctions which must mean failings in the balloting process.

No doubt the RMT will re-ballot and strike again, but at least they've now lost their "golden" opportunity of ruining people's Easter weekend. The cynic in me suggests the next strike will be around the July school holidays.....

"Network Rail said the RMT had hundreds of discrepancies in its vote for strike action – including sending ballot papers to workers at a signal box which had burned down a year ago."

"The company said that of 5,800 signallers, 4,556 are RMT members and were sent ballot papers. Of these just 1,705 – 54 per cent of those who actually voted – were in favour of a strike."

"Some 1,481 voted against, meaning the militants had a majority of just 224. But the rail firm claims there are at least 300 suspect strike ballot papers – enough to throw the vote into doubt. "

"Network Rail said the inaccuracies include 11 signal boxes balloted by the RMT that do not exist. There were 67 locations, where more ballot papers were sent than there were RMT members – and 26 workplaces employing up to 100 people which were completely missed out".

Bob Crowe has stated the judgement today was "scandalous", rather than commenting on the inability of his union to actually do something as simple as count yays and nays.

When did a Tuesday become part of the weekend?
That aside, is this ALL action? or just the signallers.

Good question. From what I understand, the ruling only applies to Signallers. So presumably maintenance workers and TSSA members could still strike, but the National Rail website is saying that journeys will now not be affected.
