Bankrupt today!!!!

Hi everyone,
Just thought i'd update you all....me and OH were officially declared bankrupt at 12.31 today....very weird feeling. The whole process was ok, i wouldn't put it up there with the best days of my life BUT it could've been alot worse. Didn't have to see the judge....relief..... but we now have to wait over two weeks for the OR phonecall, really can't wait to get that one out of the way!!!! Thanks everyone for your help and support, you certainly made all the difference during a difficult time.:j

Yes its a weird feeling but also relief too. Good luck :)
  • Yes it is a very strange feeling...didn't know how we would feel but we feel sort of numb ! The biggest relief will be not having to avoid the creditor phonecalls and not being afraid to open the post! In fact i'm quite looking forward to the phone calls now.

That is a great feeling. Being able to answer the door and phone and open your mail with no nasties in it!! Such a relief.

I know how you feel, we went BR on 15th March and our OR phone interview isn't until 20th April.

It feels very wierd at the moment, knowing that its rolling along, but I have no control over it, and shopping.........Thats a whole new ball game it feels very strange doing it with cash! lol.

  • Congratulations - I know the feeling we did it last wednesday morning. We have our or interview next Tuesday at 09.30, hubby has job interview at 11.30 and we have two estate agents coming up to value our house, as we want to buy our bi back and hoping we are in negative which i think we are about 5k.

    Congratulations again x
