because instead of your report showing you dont owe much, it always shows you as being up to the limit every month and therefore struggling and relying on credit, whereas the opposite could be true. i'd be kicking up a fuss!

I have an O/D with halifax And although my limit is shown on my credit file, any lender viewing my file will not be able to guage my O/D utilization.

Only the limit is reported not how much is being used.

    INCORRECT;););)

You will find that if you use Halifax, the limit along with the balance of the limit had you happened to have used any of it during the month WILL be reported to the cra's.

EG: My limit one account is 8k, had i used lets say 4k in the month and NOT cleared it down by teh time the feed is sent to teh cra;s it WILL show as o/d 8K o/d balance 4k.

Therefore lenders can and will gauge this as you put it;)

Halifax report overdraft regardless if used or not, like previous poster they will show balance when the account is in overdraft at time of cra update. It really depends when they send update, as previous I have used overdraft in one month but not reported as balance.

Halifax update my monthly feed to Experian and Equifax on the 2nd weekend of the month.

In the 5/6 months that I have held my account with halifax the O/D usage has always been £0 even when I am O/D;)
