Hi,
Can someone help me on how you set up wireless broadband.
Basically, after a long, difficult conversation with an advisor on the AOL helpline (Indian call centre!) I've managed to get broadband. My problem is how do have have it so that I don't have a long yellow ethernet cable from the telephone socket to the back of the desktop computer. I thought that wireless was just that, or is it for any additional computer, say a laptop. It is a problem for me as I only have the one computer and the only place that I can put my computer is further than the lead will extend to.
Sorry if this is basic technical stuff, but I'm really at a loss with this and I don't really fancy calling the call centre again.

Firstly does your desktop have a woreless card in it? A lot of desktops don't.
To be honest a wired connection is faster, simpler and far more secure so if the only issue is that the cable isn't long enough just buy a longer ethernet cable. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
