Condensation on freezer

Before a recent house move, we kept our fridge and freezer in a cold out-house with a small ventilation strip in the double glazed window. Neither of these appliances displayed condensation on the outer surface.

Having moved, we have the freezer only in an out-house where there is no visible ventilation. During our short time here (4 wks), we've noticed that condensation appears on the two sides and front door.

Can it be that the warmth from the motor is causing this as there is no ventilation. We could leave a window open but are reluctant.

Humidity has been quite high recently.

If a surface is colder than the dew point of the air then you'll get condensation. Providing ventilation keeps the air moving so the air close to the surface of the freezer keeps getting replaced before it gets cold enough to dump its load of moisture on the surface.
