Lloyds TSB Credit Limit increases

Just out of pure curiosity (I am bored) , did Lloyds TSB do an auto increase in their credit limit after the first 6 months? I got my Lloyds TSB Mastercard in December and was shocked at the £7750 credit limit they gave me, until that point the biggest limit i have had in my life was £2000 with Capital one.

I have had spent upto about £6300 on it and made large payments each month of about between £500 and £1000.

Just interested if Lloyds did a credit limit increase automatically for other customers, and if so was it a big increase?

I am sure i have read posts saying lloyds are quite mad with auto increases in the past here, but the search feature does not bring any relevent posts back when i search credit card forum for Lloyds TSB Credit increase.

    Hi

I took my LTSB credit card out many years ago, it began with a £4000 limit, they gradually upped it to £13000  without informing me beforehand. Not a good idea, probably twice the amount I earned in a year being a part-time worker.

Yes, Lloyds TSB do give automatic credit limit increases. Since I've had my card, I have had them every 6 months, withe the latest one being just last month.

    Hope this helps x
