Dormancy and current accounts?

Hello.
I have a few current accounts that I don't use anymore. If i leave £1 in them but make no regular credits is there anyway that the bank could somehow charge me a dormancy fee?

I would like to keep them open for potential future use, but without using it as my main account I am worried about getting charged somehow!

Many thanks.
Proudly cashing in since 2006. . .

i don't think dormancy fees apply to current accounts, only Credit Cards, but i could be wrong
  • Only if it states in your T&Cs that there is a charge - for example A&L charge "underfunding fees" on some of their current accounts. Check with the banks in question if you are concerned.

much better to use it regularly even if for only small sums otherwise when you may need it you may find its been frozen or even closed.
