Looks a bit out of date that article - and he's forgotten to mention the very important point that several of the cheapest companies often have an excess figure for home call outs.0

Yes i think it's out of date too. I've checked moneysupermarket.com and some of the cheaper qoutes do require home call out charges. Fingers crossed I won't be needing to call em out, least not at home anyway
However, I don't fancy call out charges anyway. 0 -

Would rather pay a bit extra, than have the pay up front thingy option.

No youve missed my point! The MS site shows £56.25 for recovery, but the RAC site only offers roadside cover for this amount, rfecovery is a lot more. Thats why I want nto do it fcrom the MS site, but there is no feature to buy from there.0 -

Maybe it's been a long term mistake that noone noticed, or it might have been on offer sometime ago. As we said, the article Martin wrote is a bit out dated now

Oh I see! I understand now. How strange - and very irritating for you.
Is it worth doing what I do when I see such things on (any) insurance MS comparison - phone up the comapny and quote from the MS print out to see if they will match? Can't say that it always works but might be worth the time and cost of a call to the RAC.0 -
Autonational Rescue remains the best deal for me, with 2 vehicles covered for any driver under their superservice policy for only £99 per year inclusive.
