Concerns about rental house

    Up until you move in, they can go in when they want.

    After that, they have to give you 24 hours written notice before any entry, and you have every right to refuse, though you maybe should try and accomodate them. Maybe say any viewings have to be on a wednesday 6-7 and thats it!

    Otherwise, if you're worried they might come in - you have every right to change the locks, aslong as you keep the origional ones and replace them back when you leave.
    Even though we haven't moved in yet, we have signed the tenancy agreement and have keys, so the delay of 2 weeks before we move is our doing, not theres.
  • I have just phoned the landlady and she seemed very nice. She said that she either wants the house to sell or to let it out permanently. She has said that when the 6 months contract is up, we can have a 'concrete' agreement written up to say how long we want the house for.
