Chickens on new allotment

today I went to see my new allotment! It's a nightmare! have decided to start at the back and work my way froward. First job is to add a run to the chicken house that is there already. I have never made anything before, any advice on how to go about making those wooden fames to add wire to?

The first thing you'll need to make sure of is that the wire is not big enough for the hens to put their heads through, or mr fox will have a lovely time! Try the builders merchants for wooden posts, you may even get wire from there as well. Staples for nailing the wire.Screws for joining the posts together.
On the subject of foxes you'll need to make sure that a fox wont dig under the run.
Then you need to consider how many hens you're having as to the size of the run you want to build.
I get paid to smell great :j
  • Your best bet it to use galvanised weld mesh if you can afford it.
