What is the current fixed rate you pay?
NRs standard variable is 4.74% so you will probably go onto that once your fixed lapses. Seeing as you have no equity, you will pay CONSIDERABLY MORE than 4.74% if you were to switch so no, you are CURRENTLY better off on the variable. You need to be aware though the standard variable can and does change, with the Bank of England Base rate and if rates climb, yourt monthly repayments will go up.

If you let me know what your current monthly payment is, your current rate, whether you are Interest only or repayment and the term of the mortgage, I can let you know what your new payment will be on the standard variable.
