Hi

Went to the local dealer yesterday to look at the amica-did not like it but the Getz looked ok- but more money of course, although they have £700 off list price plus 3 year free servicing- worth £500, so knocks £1200 of list price before haggling.

The five year warranty is what got me into the show room- but is it anygood, looked online and they say it is ok. I don`t do much driving just mum`s taxi, but want something realiable and that is not going to cost alot to run.

So do you like yours?

Thanks
April Grocery challange £175

Spent week 1 £29.90
week 2 £62.64, TOTAL £92.54

    Ive had a getz.

    great car - very underated.

    10 times better than Amica.

dont touch an Amica - it will be worth a grand tops after 3 years.

The getz is well built, spacious, safe, engines are all decent (they have replaced the 1.3 with a very good 1.4).
If you want economy go for the 1.1 petrol over the diesel. The extra diesel costs and servicing wont be worth the little bit extra mpg.

Infact, the pick of the bunch is the 1.1 gsi 5 door.
ive noticed there arent to many 5 doors around, so its defo the one to get.
Dont pay more than £6,200 for it.

The Getz was recently face-lifted and dealers are trying to hold out for higher prices. And the result is very few on the roads!

The warranty more than anything else is the reason to buy any Hyundai.

Its a bomb proff warranty, and it will give you 5 years of unlimited mileage relaxation.

The Getzs very rarely go wrong anyway.

Keep it for 5 years - well worth it.
But sell as soon as the warranty runs out, Hyundai parts are hard to get hold of and very expensive.

But dont pay anywhere near the 7 grand mark - rip off.

Hyundai are struggling to sell these, if a dealer is holding out for a bigger price walk way.
The getz is holding its price better than most Hyundai's, however compared to a fiesta whch can be had for similar money (£6600 i think) - you will get a bigger percentage for the fiesta back.

So the conclusion - go for a getz.
    the 1.1petrol gsi is fine.
5 door is a must to help it re-sale.
and dont pay over £6.2k for the 5 door.
and dont buy in september or october - you will pay a new reg premium.
