Hi,
I've been using Zonealarm antivirus for a few years along with spybot. It's time to renew and I'm wondering whether the virtual browser and keystroke protection from the extreme version is worth the extra? I use Firefox and Thunderbird.
Thanks
C

No...I recommend Kaspersky or AVG (both free)0

I bought the updated zone alarm and it was a pain in the butt, truly. I uninstalled, got a refund and bought Kasperky Internet Suite which has been great. If you bank with barclays online, you can get the suite free from them. If not, its usually available on places like amazon. Here you go, 3 user licence only £23 on Amazon - 2010

Keystroke protection is a good idea... in theory.
Trouble is that it can cause problems elsewhere in your system (Kaspersky have it also, though they call it virtual keyboard or something. It has certainly caused problems in the past), and it does require additional steps to use it properly. Given how lazy we can be when even a couple of extra clicks are required, it's not surprising that the feature isn't used as much as one would imagine.
I'm currently using Zonealarm Internet Security on my desktop, having tried Bitdefender and Kaspersky. I have to say that they're all pretty much the same (how different can a security suite be?) and I have no real preference.
For a free software suite, I would recommend Comodo Internet Security. It has everything you need, plus a sandbox feature for suspect programs and files.
