I'm collecting a 2008 Ford Ka from a ford dealer tomorrow. Insurance and tax is sorted. I have never owned a car before and I am just wondering what I should make sure I have or check before I drive off?
Is it two keys you need for the immobiliser and extra keys?

So long as you get the manual and service history, if anything else is missing you can pester them for the rest later.

Spare key/s.
Radio Code ( if required ).
If it has Alloy Wheels, the key to remove them.0 -
Are you getting mats thrown in?0

All they have to give you is the keys they have.
You should also if you have any common sense ensured it has ;
All manuals
Full Service/Maintainance History
Radio Codes
Alloy wheel keys
Spare keys
Mats/Fuel/Service/Valet0 -
A normal tactic is to give you about 3 micro litres of fuel unless you have agreed previously.
so I would say money to fill the thing up0 -
Ok a Ka isn't a complicated car:cool: but ask them to run through all the controls with you just like they would if you were buying a new car. Nothing worse than getting a new car and spending ages searching the manual to find out how to do simple stuff.0

Spare key, manual, service history, radio code. All should be in the glove box.
Toolkit (including jack, wrench, odds and sods, and locking wheelnut key if applicable). Spare wheel (check its inflated, and that the tread is legal)0 -
receipt
scetion of the V50 -
Dunno I'd probably try and get as much sorted as possible straight away - things like extra keys and stuff. Not much fun chasing garages for things after you've taken the car - they tend to lose interest pretty quickly once they've got paid!So long as you get the manual and service history, if anything else is missing you can pester them for the rest later.
