Hello,
what are the pitfalls of not declaring on the PIF (TA6) a dispute i have raised with the local council regarding a neighbour?
Does a buyer's solicitor do a 'search' for this kind of thing with the council?

This sort of thing would not show up in any search unless it caused the Council to take some fairly radical action e.g. dangerous structure notice because next door house falling down because not maintained.
If is about the neighbour's behaviour it wouldn't show on a local search.
However if the buyer has problems with the neighbours and after completion talks to occupiers of other houses nearby he may find out about the dispute and you would then be accused of a deliberate misrepresentation.RICHARD WEBSTER
