Posting to Germany

I have a buyer asking if I will post to Germany, I have had a look through search details on here and have a couple of unresolved questions.

Is it worth sending on Airsure to Germany? Or is their signature system there a waste of time that I may as well send on Airmail?

Also what is the current situation with Paypal with payments from Germany?

I have no problem sending as long as I am covered in the event of a problem. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

How much is the item worth? Standard airmail gives you insurance against non-receipt up to £39.

Also the German postal service is unsuprisingly excellent. The French are equally as good. Italy, Poland - forget about it.
Believe it or not, we have the best postal system in the world. Oz comes a close second.

    Thanks for your replies.

£39 cover is sufficient. Do paypal require a signature if I was to have a dispute or are payments from Germany not covered in the same way as UK payments? Airsure is costly if it has no extra benefit in the event of a Paypal claim. I have checked buyers feedback, they buy a lot of similar items from the UK so it is a genuine buyer.

I have weighed the item just need to know whether Airsure has any added benefit over Airmail in the event there may be a problem.

If buyer claims non-receipt then you just submit a compensation claim to RM and get your money back that way. I've sold lots to Germany (getting rid of OH's heavy metal stuff which seems to popular over there!) and never had a problem.
