Raised beds and perennials

Hello All

Bit of a novice here, and we have got four veg patches for the first year ever. We have inherited them in a house we bought last year. I want to do some sort of rotation system but I think I would like to put perennials in one. We already have a couple of raspberry canes in it and I would like to do asparagus as well.

But we want to build raised beds next year, as we think they look nice.

My questions are:

- Can you build a raised bed when there are perennials living in it or will this disturb them too much?
- Can we put other things in with the perennials and use maybe half the plot in our planned rotation system?
- For asparagus crowns how many should we plant? There are two of us.

Thanks in advance :o
