How long did your memory foam mattress (not topper) take to expand enough to be slept on?
Mine is not being delivered now until early evening today and I have nothing to sleep on.:(
I know all the millions of online guides talk about this but 2 hrs - 48hrs - 1 week doesn't seem very precise to me. :D

Edit: To be clear it is being delivered compressed in a roll not pre expanded.

It would depend on a few factors:
    1. The temperature in your room. The mattress will expand far quicker in a warmer room.
    2. The density of the memory foam. A mattress with very low density memory foam will expand almost instantly, but will give very poor support.
    3. The depth of the mattress. The deeper the mattress the longer it will take to expand.
I know it is too late now, but in the future stay away from the rolled up vacuum packed type, as they tend to be the lowest quality.

On one hand I want to tell you what I've bought on the other I am scared you will tell me it is rubbish. :(:D So I'm keeping schtum!

Suffice to say it is 20 cms deep and 7cms is memory foam.
    55kg/m3 density
. So what do you think?

    So it's a Silentnight then?

55kg is a little low, but as long as the reflex foam underneath it is good quality then it should be ok.

Nope not a silent night and I specifically stated I didn't want an opinion on whether you though it was any good so I wouldn't tell you the brand. :p
You said you needed density and depth of foam to answer the OP so I gave them to you and you just slagged it off anyway and ignored the actual OP question....:(

Sorry, I know nothing about memory foam, but what actually happens if you sleep on it before it's properly expanded? Is it actually damaged permanently, or is it just not as comfortable as it could be for that one night?

When did I slag it off????

The memory foam is low density, so it shouldn't take as long to expand. I'd already said that in my first post.
