Good electrician in Cardiff?

Could anyone recommend a good and competent electrician in Cardiff center area please?

Try looking on the website of the Guild of Master Craftsmen at https://www.findacraftsman.com

All Guild members are vetted before being accepted for membership, so you have a better chance of getting someone capable of doing the job.

I would suggest you still phone at least three electricians for quotes before deciding.

We move a lot with my husband's job and when we need tradesmen we then don't know who to choose. So we always pick an electrician who is NICEIC registered. Just have a look on their website for local names. These electricians have to perform to a high standard and have their work checked annually by inspectors. Those not up to standard are removed from the list. And there is a complaints scheme whereby if you are not happy then tell the NICEIC and they will get someone else to put it right. At the end of the day electricity, unlike say faulty plumbing, can kill so it is important to take the safe option. The NICEIC electricians have always been excellent so I would definitely recommend them. Good hunting!

I can recommend a bloke called Gary in Pantmawr . He's done a few jobs for us and been very good and reasonably priced.

Not being critical but do you think it's a good idea to put a person's home phone number on a public forum, far better done via PM IMHO.
