Renting after Repossession

You sound okay to me as a tenant. Which area are you looking to rent?
Also, when you say no guarantor, is Dad a householder and will he guarantee up to a limit of say an extra month's rent? Alternatively, can you get an extra-large deposit together, say two months rent? All deposits should be held by one of the deposit protection schemes.
Stupid question, but can't you stay with parents rather than living rough? If not, why not?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Ask yourself, are you really in a position to be that fussy when it comes to a houseshare? I've lived with others for three and a half years now since moving away from the family resident in Devon, it hasn't all been fairytales but nothing like you described. Have a look on Gumtree and Easyroommate, look for somewhere with a family or a owner with a spare room, you'll surely be able to find something.
Without being harsh, you have no job and no real prospects right now (I'm seeing this from a landlords or agents view), therefore you need to be realistic, simple as!
Have you explored all the options too - local councils sometimes run a deposit guarantee scheme so if you can borrow the same amount from your family this may cover two months rent (three or four in a houseshare)? What are you looking for job wise - if you can find temporary or permanent work in a factory, supermarket, labouring or so forth, then you'll be in a ten times better position when it comes to renting a place!
Finally, can you stay with your parents? I don't know your history, but if you can swallow your pride or bite your lip then this might give you the best chance to set yourself up properly rather than jumping from one mess to another. Your family obviously want to help, this should not just be on your terms, you have to have a bit of give and take!
Good luck in whatever you decide! Chin up, keep the faith and I'm sure it'll work out.Personal ISA Contributions Challenge - current £0 (as at 1 April 2014) / target £15,000 (deadline 31 Mar 2015)0 -

Yes, but I don't have anywhere empty - apart from one place that is empty but needs thorough refurbishment. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
