So, I bought those speakers online using a credit card. They were faulty, so I called the seller and he said that I have to arrange for the return of the speakers to them. I returned them back within 7 days and got a refund.

(skip to the end if you are too lazy to read)
I emailed the seller that I am expecting a refund for the return postage as well. At first they were saying some bull**** that because I chose not to accept a replacement product I lost my right to get a refund for the return postage. Then I contacted consumerdirect and forwarded them their email so they asked me to email them a scanned receipt for the postage, which I did.
Its been more than a week and they are not even replying to my emails any more.

Would I have any rights to claim the return postage costs from the credit card company? Or will I have to take the seller to small claims court?

Did you make it clear to the seller that you were returning the item because it was faulty or did you ust return it under the terms of the distance selling regulations. If it was the latter then generally you would be expected to pay for the return postage.

If you returned the item because it was faulty then you are entitled to the full refund including the return costs. You need to contact the retailer (please name them) and make it clear why you returned the goods and that you expect a full refund under the terms of the Sale of Goods Act.

Yeah, I made it clear to them (turnkey.co.uk) that it was faulty and they said that I had to arrange the return.
I ve already contacted them and made it clear to them about the law, but they have not replied to me.
Thats why I am thinking to raise the issue with the credit card company.

£280 for speakers, £35 for return delivery.

So you've been refunded the £280 but not the return postage. I'm not sure a s.75 claim against your credit card company will work for just for this delivery portion now that you've already accepted the earlier refund, although I may be wrong. It may be worth giving them a call and trying anyway, otherwise it'll be a small claims action you need to be looking at.
