The going rate in this area for tiling is around £35 a square metre  so my OH tells me, it all depends on the job, the type of tiles you'll be using, any prep work to be done before hand etc.

    Good luck!!

A lot of tilers will assess the job on a day rate.

The problem about quotes per square metre is that in practice it veries so much depending on what size/type tiles you're using, how many corners there are to cut around, size of the walls to be tiled etc.

For an average sized bathroom in standard tiles (6 inch square) you'll probably be looking at around £400 to £600 plus materials. Typically that will tile one wall (usually bath wall) completely and the other walls up to dado rail height.

We're paying about £28 per sq/m fitting for slate tiles on the floor.
  • The guy I use is £20 sq/mtr and is superb (and he only has one arm!). He's done at least 20 bathrooms for me or my customers and is one of the best I've seen.
