problem with Sky+ box

During playback of recorded programmes, the sound momentarily "misses", for maybe just a second or two. The picture isn't affected. Just watched a 2hr film & it happened 4 times. The disc is not full. I dont have Sky insurance, so I'd have to pay to call someone out. It isn't a huge problem, just irritating, but I'm afraid it may be the start of something bigger. Any answers????

We've got the same problem with ours. Its drives me mad. Ours does it loads. We can't watch one channel and record another as the recording jumps all the time. I've just phoned tonight and got sky HD for free (there's another thread on here about SKY HD offers), maybe worth doing that as you will get a new box and therefore save about £60.00 which they would charge for an engineer to come out

Check for overheating. Have you placed a DVD player/games console on top of the Sky box, blocking its ventilation ports?poppy100
