is my bursary taxable?

Hi, I am doing some Return to social work course and will be getting bursary of £1300 as one lump sum. Is it taxable? Do I have to declare?

  • AFAIK it isnt,my daugter had a £1500 a year uni bursary and that wasnt,i assume its treated in the same way as student loan/maintentance grant

    Student loans, grants and bursaries aren't taxable.
