numeric keypad problem

I am a keyboard rather than mouse user and the keys on the numeric keypad, namely home, end, page up/down and arrow keys have stopped working, I usually use these to move around websites. They were working until yesterday so I can only assume I have somehow disabled them. Does anyone know how to get them back working?
