Holiday Inn or Premier Inn?

I'm doing a bit of a trip which sees me stopping overnight to see friends in Cambridge. To cut down on driving I'm looking to stop just off the A14 (Junction 32) so I can jump back in the car early next morning.
There's a Holiday Inn and a Premier Inn close by. Is there a price comparison site between these organisations? Alternatively, does anyone have any suggestions for getting a discount (codes?) in advance or any way I can get cashback... other than through my credit card, which is about the only thing I've got organised. Just realised it's the school holidays  so any help to reduce costs would be great.
I'm going to keep looking, but thought I'd better check with the very much more savvy people on this site before I spend my hard earned, but paltry income

Just had a thought - since both Holiday Inn and Premier Inn are far too expensive for a single person... isn't there a website where people rent out a spare room for the odd night even when they're not a B&B... off to continue googling!0

Hi if you haven't already booked there is a thread somewhere on here about best rates for holiday inn, I have often got rooms at the holiday inn express on there two nights for the price off one deal. Not sure if this would be any use as need to stay two nights but for example hubby and I have got two nights at easter for £60.0
