I have checked the Government website but plain English it is not.
Can someone please offer clear advice?
I received 3 points on my licence on 06 May 2006 for speeding.
1. At what time do the points expire?
2. How do I go about getting the points removed?
3. How long do the points affect my insurance?
Thanks for any help

1, 3 years.
2, After 4 years send your licence with the appropriate form and payment to DVLA.
3, 5 years according to most insurers.0 -
Only thing I would add would be that there is no requirement that I know of to get your points taken off once they expire (and why would you give the DVLA even more of your cash since you paid £60 to get them put on in the first place). Also, most insurers ask for points etc in the last 5 years, but generally speaking since there are a large number of drivers with 3 points from Gatso cameras, your first 3 points don't have a huge effect unless you are a fairly young driver.Fight Crime : Shoot Back.
