hi there can any one help???:eek:
my step father took out a loan with hfc in 2003 /04 the loan was for 5,000 but in total he paid back 11,000 , he went garantor for his son , but he didnt pay anything towards it :mad:so there was 2 lots of insurance<ppi> on the policy ,his son got in toudch with them saying it was too much with the intrest ect, there was no mention of ppi. so they<hfc> paid of the balance it was 1,000 left to pay and a good will gesture of 269.00 as a settlement , i have just spoken to my step father he has no, account no or any paperwork to support this so its what he is telling me can he still claim as he paid 6,000 over the odds on the loan in the first place please help:mad: dont know how i can help him?????

Think I did post you a post on this one earlier, it maybe a good idea for your step dad to request a subject access request (SAR) from HFC, where they send all they hold on the account, or maybe his son could do this, hopefully useful information of the loan and ppi will be enclosed in the SAR to help support the case to help on the reclaiming for your step dad.
SAR letter template letter on link below, you enclose £10 postal order or cheque payment and they have 40 days to comply.
