LLoyds TSB does the Advance card with 0% on BTs for 12 months (but never use this for purchases as it has a nasty catch).

Alternatively if you can pay for weddings things using a credit card then Sainsburys do a credit card with 0% for 12 months on purchases.

  • thanks very much, going to have a look now at that one :)

Also looked at the virgin one with 9 months interest free as well, these seems good as well

Just a quick question, If I have a zero balance, can I still do a balance transfer to put one of my cards in credit and then use it normally untill I have spent the amount of the balance transfer or do they check your balance 1st ?

    Cheers

You can put another credit card in credit as they do not know what your balance is. Technically this is against the T&C as BTs are meant to be for transfering debt but in practice nobody has ever had a problem doing it.

Note that if you were to put your Egg card in credit they allow you to then BT the money to your bank account. (This is how stoozers make their profits as they then move the money on to a high interest savings account.)
