Great, my premium will go up next year thanks to this !!!! :rotfl:
The insurance claim was lodged by the test driver, not the owner of the car.

    So will his

The Editor of Evo magazine, Harry Metcalfe, has a Zonda which he bought a few years ago for £250k-ish. In last months episode, whilst lamenting an increase in his fleet insurance from £4.5k to over £7k he said that the replacement cost of the car had increased to £400k.

So if it would cost £300k to repair then it would be economically viable.

Don't worry this claim on it's own will not have any effect on your premium, Aviva insure the majority of exotic cars and budget for these types of claims. They may put up their rates for Zonda's or change their underwriting acceptance though. The claims that have an effect are the mainly the claims from third parties. A few years ago I was shown a summary of the claims they receive from young male drivers (Mainly on fronted policies) and the third party claims were well over £100m with one single claim approaching £7m. Shortly after this they increased their rates for young male policyholders and young male additional drivers eg on their parents policies

Heh - I had some contribution to that :o :rotfl:.

Probably only a few grand though.
