The whole point of the netbook is to keep the size down, I would recommend a laptop its not liek shes gonna be taking it anywhere

Buy her a cheap nettop, site it near the TV and a wireless mouse/keyboard.Problem solved, then if her favourite TV prog comes on switch from one to the other. The whole point of the netbook is to keep the size down, I would recommend a laptop its not liek shes gonna be taking it anywhere

Get her a bluetooth too then she can switch to Mobile phone too, PS put MSE as her home page4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy

You might be better off with a desktop computer. It'll be cheaper, have a larger screen and more comfy keyboard and mouse. This is assuming she will be using it in a fixed position.0

thanks for the replies. Yes you are right she isn't going anywhere with it but I assumed with a netbook we wouldn't be paying for programs she won't use. She really only needs e-mail and browsing.
A PC is not an option as she has a small place in sheltered housing.
Please can you tell me what is a nettop? what do you mean near the TV etc?
You are all brill: i'm learning so much already.
Please reply as I'm not any clearer yet0 -

A nettop is a pc built for affordability , and often less noisy , not for gaming not for expanding etc and usually not for speed. They are usually small and don't come with screens. About 165-200 each but putting it near the TV she can use the same screen for all her needs. As she does not use much other than email/surfing IMHO it's a good choice. When I have a sec I will check a few out and post again, mind use a few of our super MSE'rs will get back before me - Hi Guysjumpingjules wrote: »thanks for the replies.
