On a good day it is a 5-10minute drive from coach station to crematorium but maybe under the circumstances the driver would drop you at the top of avenue on entering southampton and it'd be a 10 min walk from there.
I had a quick look at a travel site I use but cant beat the quote already given to you by someone.

Actually, it comes out at £183.98 for the day return. There is probably a card fee though.

Could you fly down to Stanstead with ryanair, national express to Southampton and then get a flight back to Glasgow from southampton with flybe.. Probably to much hassle but worth a thought.:)

Sorry...I have just realised that you would be returning to a different airport if you done this........Not much use if you where leaving your car at the airport.....
