interest or not??

just a quick one, I have a 0% cc on purchases.

if i phone up and pay our next catalogue balance with it does that count as a purchase or will i be charged interest on it.

    That's a balance transfer not a purchase.

    its not a balance transfer. I mean that i phone next and pay the bill on the phone using the credit card.

    To be honest your card company have no idea whether you have paid the statement or gone to a Next shop and bought something!

    Definitely a purchase. We do it all the time - gives you an extended period before you've got to pay it back depending on when your Next statement and credit card statements are issued!

    From memory, utility companies will only accept payment by debit card or cheque as alternative methods to DD. Can't ever remember seeing one that allowed payment by CC.
