I was in Paignton yesterday and i noticed that it had a sign on the door saying it was a clearance outlet so i went in to have a look, inside the door was a large display with DVD players, CD boom boxes, etc at good prices....than 6 ladies came flying through the door behind me saying " quick get in there..." so in the true money saving spirit I followed them....then an announcement came over the store tannoy....." get over to the DVD section in store and fight your way through..we have 14" LCD TV's for £50 and 19" LCD with DVD players built in for £90...and loads of mobile phone, the most expensive is £10....so I followed the now fast moving crowd and got a 14" TV..we were going to get one for DS for Xmas and got him a mobile for £9.99...
I dont know if all store are working like this but a collegue at Paignton station said that it has been like that for a few weeks now and the same at Torquay...

  • We were on holiday and visited Newcastle a couple of weeks ago and their store had a section at the back that stated everything half price. They were putting stuff out and I assumed the vastly reduced prices were what I'd pay but lucily the assistant told me otherwise ... I got a set of 2 ladybird dresses for £2, 3 barbie lip gloss sets fr 99p each (rrp £3.99) and a few other bits. Would have got more but had to dash for the train.

If you're in the area it might be worth a look as they had loads of clothes, toys, gifts and homewares.
  • Portsmouth Woolies has a clearance section now.
  • Shrewsbury store also has a clearance section.
