    Hi Karen

someone will go through your SOA in more details

I think you have to put your mobile and land line together. You are not normally allowed sky/cable.

I think you have 4 children so your grocieries may need to go up but someone will advise you the correct amount

Xmas savings and entertainment and presents will not be allowed but you can put in an amount for a holiday. Also things like haircuts for 5 of you? Clothing maybe should be more? Doctors prescriptions??

Just a few ideas but I am not sure of the amounts allowed I'll give you a bump up and someone can give you all the correct figures and advice you need

Can you tell us kids ages, that would help, as dojoman says somethings are not allowed but you can claim for others. We are a family of four, 2 adults 2 Kids. We were allowed £500 for food(although others recently have had £550-600 accepted) We got £150 for clothes, £80 for holiday. You can put £5 per child/per week for activities such as swimming/dancing etc... obviously if you have babies thats different! Definitely get contents insurance, before you go BR about £13 is usual.
    fred

Can you double check your SOA, as at the moment it is showing you have a surplus of £614!

OK my SOA was just a practice one as i'm sure theres things missing. My children are 1,6,7, 10 . I only cancelled my contents as it was with LTSB and they are my biggest creditor.

What insurance compnays are good, i went on go compare and i have never heard of the cheap ones. the postoffice was the cheapest ive heard of at 18 a mth for get that they want a deposit and are chargeing interest

Initial payment of £43.39 followed by 10 monthly instalments of £19.16. Each payment includes a monthly charge of £1.74. Total amount payable is £234.36. Amount of credit provided is £190.97. Cash price is £216.96. Typical 23.5% APR. Credit

    No thanks !

I understand it is expensive, but if you go BR you won't be able to get credit. If the fridge or whatever blows up your stuck, and (god forbid) any thing more serious happened like flood or fire, you are right royally stuffed. Mine is £30 a month and yes I know there is cheaper out there, but until our year is up we are going to stick with Barclays. Hopefully someone can point you in the direction of a cheap reliable one.
