Graphics card driver problems.

Options
i am having troubles with my driver for my graphics card.

i have downloaded and installed the new driver and everything works fine until i switch my computer off, when i turn it on again the driver is missing?

when i go to system, hardware, device manager the display adapter has a yellow exclamation mark next to it.

any ideas why it keeps losing driver after switching off?

pentium 4 processor
160g & 40g hard drives
dual channel ram (4x256)
gigabyte motherboard.
nvidia ge force mx-420 graphics card

any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you installing the driver , ie where do you get the new driver from?

Well can't fault your method then, or your choice of driver. Is there any indication on the device manager as what the warning symbol is for (eg corrupt driver, hardware error etc)

  • I have been getting a "code 10 error this device cannot start"

everything is o.k at the moment as i`ve reinstalled it again but as i have said when i restart it loses it.

    thanks for your time.
