Ford Mondeo TDCI Zetec Mass Dual Fault
A month ago i bought a Ford Zetec Diesel 2006 plate and have since found out that it has a dual mass flywheel fault i have taken it back to the garage several times because it would start when cold but not after it has heated up so i had a diagnostic done on it and it came up with this fault and a very pricey quote - is it up to me to pay for this or should i go back to the garage i bought it from for them to sort out and where do i stand on this - i was told it had a full service and mot when i bought it - would this fault not have come up if they had done the service and mot - can i get my money back i don't know what to do

it is a very common fault on mondeo's it will cost about 1400 main dealer to 500 for non main dealer best bet is take it back and make them do the job0

agree with the others, the dealer should be down to fix the flywheel issue.
Depending on how long you intend to keep the car it might be worth you pay for the parts so you get a new clutch as well0 -
We always put a new clutch and starter motor on when we do the Mondeo DMF's. Labour is about 180 quid. Flywheel is about 180. Clutch about 80 quid.0
